This is a premium only auction. You do not get the animal.
Due to Covid-19, this year we are hosting the Buffalo County 4-H Livestock Auction in an online only format. The bidding will be premium only, meaning the price you bid is the price you pay and the money that goes to the 4-H'er.
Bidding will open July 28th and be open till July 31st with the Lamb/Goats closing at 9:00 AM, Swine at 9:45 AM and Beef at 10:45 AM. You are able to register on this website by clicking Login/Register at the top of the page and creating an account.
PLEASE READ THE TERMS OF THE AUCTION TO LEARN HOW THE AUCTION WORKS.
An invoice will be emailed to immediately after the auction. You can also find your invoice while you are logged into the website by clicking "Account" and then the "Invoices" tab.
PREMIUM ONLY: This is a premium only auction. You are not purchasing the animal. Your purchase price is the price you'll pay. This amount is then given to the 4-H exhibitor.
ANIMAL FOR BUTCHER: Some animals ARE available for butcher. It is noted in the description of each lot by seeing the "Contact Name For Purchase" information. All sales for butchering will take place between the buyer and their contact directly. Some exhibitors have resereved locker spaces you may use if noted on their description.
PAYMENT: Is due within 7 days. Checks need made out to "Buffalo County Ag Society" and mailed to PO Box 74, Kearney, NE 68847.
STAGGERED CLOSING: Auction uses a soft close bidding feature to create a live auction atmosphere. Any bids placed within the last 2 will reset the clock on that lot to 2 minutes. This will continue until there are no bids placed inside the last the 2 minutes of the lot.
All lots are spaced 60 seconds apart so all items will close over a period of time. The first lot will close at 9:00, lot 2 at 9:01, lot 3 at 9:02, etc. Unless a lot receives a bid in the last two minutes, then it will extend. Each lot has it's own specified closing time, all you need to do is look at the lot.
MAX BIDS: You may type in a "Max Bid" when bidding. This will allow the computer to bid for you, up to your max amount you're willing to pay. You can type this in when you bid. If the computer is asking for $310, you can erase that and type in $500 if you'd like. The computer will then bid up to that amount on your behalf without having to monitor the auction.
BID INCREMENTS: All bidding will be done in $25 increments. Each species of animal has a base bid placed on it as minimum premium amount. This money has came from donations.
